Both workshops run the on the same days back to back. Sword from 1-3pm and Ballet from 3-5pm.

Ballet for Belly Dancers

​

This ballet for belly dancers series is aimed to give dancers the ballet skills to push their dance to the next level.

 

• 1. Fancy Ballet Feet - A strong look at the footwork in ballet and how to apply this to belly dance

​

• 2. Turns and more turns - A focus on the elements of turning and the skills needed to turn confidently and successfully

​

• 3. Ballet Fusion Choreography - A complete choreography using ballet fused to belly dance.

​

No previous understanding of ballet is required.

​

Tribal Fusion Sword

​

This fusion sword series is designed to build a dancer up from basics to mastery of fusion sword. 

 

• 1. Sword Fusion Fundamentals - Introduction on use and possibilities with a sword and how to apply it to tribal fusion.

​

• 2. Balance, Grace and Fusion - A focus on balance work specifically with tribal fusion vocabulary.​

​

• 3. Tribal Fusion Sword Choreography - A complete choreography using sword with possible performance opportunity.

 

Swords are not provided, but I am happy suggest some great places to get them.

​

 

Please note: A basic understanding of belly dance is required. We will not be learning the basic steps (hip drops, shimmies), but instead how to apply the fusion stylisation. At least one year of belly dance training (any style) is suggested.
